Keeping your employees safe is of the utmost importance. Knowing how to deal with exposure to blood-borne or airborne pathogens is paramount in keeping your employees healthy. In this curriculum, you will learn to identify blood-borne and airborne pathogen hazards, describe exposure controls, and list actions to take if an exposure incident occurs.

COURSE TOPICS

This online Airborne Diseases: You Need to Know course covers the following topics:

  • Define airborne pathogens
  • Explain how airborne diseases are transmitted in the workplace
  • List practices to help prevent the spread of airborne disease at work.

ONLINE COURSE DURATION

Approximately 7 minutes

PASS MARK

Knowledge testing is conducted throughout the course. Test questions are designed to reinforce the information presented and must be completed by each participant. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Each participant is allowed to repeat the course three times if the course pass mark wasn’t achieved on the first attempt.

CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION

Participants who successfully pass the course will be able to print out a certificate of completion through the learning management system.
