The goal of the lesson is to prepare workers to work safely with and around electricity. This lesson does not address arc-flash hazards and controls, lock-out/tag-out procedures, or high voltage (220V or 440V) electrical safety.

Upon successful completion of this course, you should have a better understanding of:

  • How to identify the hazards associated with electricity: shock and fire
  • How electricity works regarding hazards on the job
  • The basic safety controls and practices at work
  • Identifying and explaining the proper way to respond to electrical emergencies

ONLINE COURSE DURATION

PASS MARK

Testing conducted throughout this online course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Participants are able to repeat the course twice if the pass mark is not achieved.
